Behind The Book with Lynde Lakes

As a writer, sometimes we meet an individual, hear a tale or witness an event that inspire and touch us in such a way that a story begs to be written.  These are those voices that Had To Be Heard...

My job as appraiser took me all over and I became fascinated with an imposing mansion nestled below Mt. Baldy.  Although I saw little more than a foggy grayness and a hint of a hazy light, its fascination had never been stronger than now.  A clap of thunder broke nearby.  I shivered and clung tightly to the steering wheel as a bolt of lightning arced and illuminated the stone fortress and its magnificent towers.  The sight churned in my mind, in my dreams, yes even my nightmares.  I investigated the property and the owners.  As listened to the wild stories about them, I came to suspect that those towers, soaring skyward, contributed heavily to the eerie quality that provided the locals with a vivid, intriguing mysterious citadel to stir their wild conjectures.   A few months later, I was having coffee at a local shop and when HE walked in looking as devastating as Richard Gere and I just knew he was the owner of the house.  At least he was in my mind.   He took a table by the window, glanced up toward the mansion and then looked over at me.  For that moment, that instant in time, I felt his pain and a strong desire to write his story.  But what was his story?  My imagination wouldn’t let it go—hence VIRGIN WOLF.

 VIRGIN WOLF

Angela Ward hates controlling men, especially in their wolfish form, but when she meets handsome alpha werewolf Damon Lamont III, the Gemini virgin werewolf, realizes that they share similar physical and emotional struggles and her desire to find her release through him lures her into making a deadly exception...

Actually it was difficult to choose one story that demanded to be told.  All of my stories came from a “magnetic thing” for the characters that all of us writers share.   POINTING LEAF  and COWBOY LIES also had strong, demanding beginnings in my mind.  Maybe I can tell you about some of the others at another time if anyone is interested.

Thank you, Donina Lynn for inviting me to share my paranormal fiction with you.  Much success to you and joyous writing as you seek your dream.  Aloha, Lynde
